Mick Astill
Company Owner

Mick is a meticulous and dedicated boss who has high expectations of his team but at the same time loves to have a laugh with them. A stickler for perfection, Mick is passionate about the quality of each and every job he and his team undertake. Mick has been a qualified electrician for more than 10 years. He is an accredited installer with the Clean Energy Council to design and install Solar Systems. Mick has experience in many different fields of electrical work and is not scared to get in and work with the team whenever he is needed.

Amanda Astill
Company Owner

Amanda is a well organised “all rounder” who thrives in our busy office environment. She works hard to keep the paper trail under control and the office running smoothly. Amanda enjoys the opportunity to work alongside her husband, they make a great team.

Candy Livingstone
Administrative Assistant

Candy has a no-nonsense attitude that keeps the ball rolling in an often-hectic environment with such a varied group of staff. With a wealth of experience in the administration environment, Candy understands the need for excellent customer service and communication and is a valuable member of our administration team.

Karen Habban
Administrative Assistant

As our first point of contact, Karen is who you will speak to when you call us. She is efficient and loves to have a laugh. Karen is great at helping people, give her a call if you have any concerns or questions and she would love to be of assistance

South Burnett Team

Staff - Nate

Nathan Labuschewski
Qualified Electrician

Nathan has lived in the South Burnett his whole life. He is our ‘quiet achiever’. Nate became a fully licenced electrical mechanic in January 2014.,He has worked with Mick since the company was formed and always has an enthusiastic attitude to work. With a solid background in domestic electrical installations, air-conditioning and switchboards, and a boss who expects nothing but the best, Nate always enjoys a good challenge.

John Bartlett
Qualified Electrician

Jogger is a hardworking and a loyal family man, who has been a qualified electrician for more then 8 years. He is dependable and enjoys his work as well as the people he works with. He is our “go to man” in areas such as split system installations, switchboard upgrades, master cabling and general domestic electrical.

Staff - Jay

Jay Hilsey
Qualified Electrician

Jay has many years experience in the electrical industry. He is a local family man who has worked in many different fields. Jay brings to the team extensive knowledge of phone & data cabling. His experience is a valuable asset in our business. Outside of work he enjoys basketball and family time.

Staff - Elliott

Elliott Mangan
Qualified Electrician

Elliott has just completed his apprenticeship with us in February. He is a dedicated employee and goes the extra mile. Originally from Nanango, he enjoys staying active by playing soccer and going to the gym.

Staff - Chris

Chris Bodey
Qualified Electrician

Chris (otherwise known as Boof) brings a wealth of electrical experience to the Astill’s Team. As a Wondai community member, he is a part of the volunteer fire brigade as well as an active member of the cricket, bowls and golf clubs. When not working, Boof can usually be found playing golf!

Phillip Waters
qualified electrician

Phil has worked as an electrician for 17 years and has lived locally in Kingaroy since he moved here in 2001. Phil is a hands-on guy with knowledge of a variety of different fields of electrical work. His easy going and helpful nature are a valuable asset in our team. When he isn’t at work, Phil enjoys fossicking, kayaking and gardening.


Staff - Kirby

Kirby Rubesaame
Second Year Apprentice Electrician

Kirby started his apprenticeship with us back in 2016 after attending Kingaroy State High School. Kirby is a keen footballer for Kingaroy Red Ants and has also represents the South Burnett for the Eagles. His great attitude suits the Astill’s Electrical Team  

Staff - Ben

Ben Brooks
First Year Apprentice Electrician

Ben started his apprenticeship this year after attending Kingaroy State High School. He is a keen footballer, enjoys fishing and the outdoors. He has fitted in with the culture here and has a great positive attitude.

Zak Bartlett-Kennedy
Frist year apprentice

Our newest apprentice is Zak, also a quality graduate from Kingaroy State High School. A Wondai local, Zac is always keen to learn and is enjoying being a part of the Astill’s Electrical team.

Mark McIntyre
Refrigeration Mechanic

Mark has moved back to the South Burnett after being away for almost 30 years. He takes care of our air conditioning maintenance, servicing and repairs. Out side of work, Mark enjoys Rugby League and spending time with family.  

Tony Andress
Qualified electrician

Tony was trained up in the industrial sector and has come to us for some broader experience. He has proven to be a great asset to Astills, with his can do attitude. He has shown a willingness to learn and a good knowledge of our field. Outside of work tony enjoys jetskiing, climbing mountains and anything outdoors.

Sunshine Coast Team

Staff - John

John Macasaet
Third Year Apprentice Electrician

John started his apprenticeship back in 2015 after attending Kingaroy State High School. John has recently moved to the Sunshine Coast and is working for our team down there. He is a quiet achiever and is a dedicated apprentice.

Scott Sims
qualified electrician

Scott is our Sunshine Coast Team supervisor and lives with his partner Brooke at Maroochydore. Originally from Kingaroy, he brings with him all the best aspects of being from regional Queensland – loyal, hard-working and resilient. Scott enjoys an active lifestyle including jetskiing, camping and motorbike riding. On the job-site his excellent communication skills and dedication to getting a job done right serve as great assets to our Astill’s Team. 

Adam cooper
qualified electrician

Our newest team member at the Sunny Coast, originally from New Zealand.  Adam  is a hard working fellow who has a down to earth and easy going nature. He gets on well with all his colleagues and has been a great addition to our team.
